Also, if using a modem functionality, software only assumes you are using a telephone based phone line to dial, is there a way to pick COM 7 for instance for data connection rather than a physical phone modem and dial prompt.įurther technical application details are using a GSM / GPRS Modem w/ secure VPN communications (ethernet), allowing remote monitoring and Virtual IP address to multiple LOGO's, through a third party. There is a small deal of latency involved with this procedure (max up to 4 seconds - see below involving GSM/VPN), assigned is COM 7 to the interfaces within the Soft Comfort, however if attempting to connect to download / upload a simple program to the latest LOGO, it seems that the Soft Comfort environment is timing out on the serial port communications.
